such a shame, stroll gets all the upgrades this year and makes it look like stroll out performed sergio when sergio wasn't ever given optimal strat.. Deserves a seat in f1 solid mid-card driver.

Lance Stroll is only there because of his rich daddy, crap driver. Sergio Perez is a tough driver and has helped the team survive in the past, shame on Racing Point bosses. Vettel, well he’s had his day and now just lets his dummy fly out of the pram, what a mistake signing him. Haas should get rid of their management team, change engines and sign Perez and George Russel. Magnusson and Grosjean are the most dangerous and crap drivers ever in today’s F1. Old man Stroll would be better suited to second hand car dealership.

I stop watching F1-races back in 1994, after the accident of Ayrton Senna... I cried like a child infront of the TV ( I was 17). Then I started again to follow F1 in 2011 because I heard about this Mexican "Checo", who at the time his racing-acumen was in question because of his big Slim-Sponsorship.... after all these years its clear who Checo-Perez really is and what is he capable of behind the wheel. Now I started questioning myself, if I want to follow F1 any longer: its not suppose to be, that sports are the carriers of human values, if so, wich values are the ones we are getting from F1? Money and Finances rules over Performance-capabilities and over Loyalty? Congratulations to Racing-Point's Management: they just out-performed McLaren by playing the back-stabbing game to their drivers! I saw an Aston-Martin car on the streets today and couldn't avoid of feeling seek!

Classy Checo - you will be fine - a driver with talent.

Seeing how Vettel is performing in his Ferrari, I don't think he is going to win any driver's title with Racing Point or help the team to win a Constructor's title. It won't come as a surprise to see Racing Point regret having hired him. What the Laurence Stroll has done to Perez is disgraceful

Just remember back in 2018 when Checo saved jobs at the old Force India which was only hours away from administration. Only reason Stroll remains is Daddy must have demanded it with threats of withdrawing his financial support for the new Aston Martin team. Good luck to Seb he will need it with Stroll racing calling the shots but all F1 fans know Checo and Vettel would have been a better winning formula.

Thoroughly annoyed by this! Let me declare Checo is not in my top 5 favourite drivers and though I'm hispanic, I'm not Mexican. It wouldn't bothered me if Perez was replaced by someone who is presently competitive, or at least, didnt make so many mistakes! A Bottas, a Vershlapen, an Alonso...hell I would even add Gasly on current performance! Checo saved that team, Checo has been helping finance that team through performance and sponsorship associated with him personally. Not suggesting he should have a seat for life on account of those points, but to put someone in (regardless how many championships to his name) that is clearly inferior (at present performance), is insulting. I'm sure there's more than one member of Racing Point/Aston Martin feeling very, very dirty right now - and understandably so.

Awful! I have nothing against Seb and certainly don't want to see him leave F1 under a cloud but Perez loosing his drive is a travesty. The way Ferrari treated Vettel was bad, but the way Perez has been treated is much worse as far as I'm concerned. Vettel has been making some rookie-like mistakes, spinning the car frequently as an example. Yes, the car seems to drive like a truck, but his younger and less experienced teammate has the same car and constantly out-performs him, so I can see Ferrari's logic. However, with Perez it's different. He's consistently the stronger driver, so to kick him out because his daddy doesn't own the team really stinks.

  57. benson foxx

Lance Stroll is effectively a pay driver because if it wasn't for daddy he wouldn't be in the team. Yes he's young and with time will improve, but if Lawrence was really putting the team first he'd pick the better and most consistent driver which is Perez. Ironically, neither Stroll would be at the team if Perez hadn't saved it by commencing legal action against it a few years back.

I don't really want to defend stroll cause it is obvious that checo is the better driver, but imo stroll isn't as bad as people say, and if you compare his laps this year to last year you see that he's gotten much better. people forget that he's still very young (Albon is 3 years older) and still has a lot of potential as a driver and not as the son of a billionaire. I agree that the only reason he got to keep his seat was because of his dad, but I think Strolls future can look really good if he keeps on getting better. and with 21 the chances of you getting better with time is way higher than with 30
