What a pathetic unimpressive inherited win without any overtakes. Herbert desperately clings to this gifted race as if it proves he's got talent. This is why he's so bitter and twisted about real British talent like Lewis who would be embarrassed to brag about a gifted win he lucked into like this.

@Dr Coomer I was the life and soul until this social distancing malarkey but the fact remains that Herbert is a hypocritical muppet who has to rely on the staff at Sky to leave fake comments praising him.

@Ed Bishop Cry me a river. A mediocre F1 has been has a bad crash which apparently now excuses him from any criticism even when he's being a complete and utter hypocrite in commentary letting off a Ferrari driver as a steward and then insisting that Lewis gets penalised for the same bleeding penalty a couple of races later.

Do you know anything about his story? Including the fact that he almost lost both legs in a crash at brands hatch in his junior career?...

I was at this race with the Jordan fan club and sitting at the exact part of the hairpin where Johnny took the lead. We were staying in a tiny village and on our return to the hotel drank the bar dry singing 'there's only one Johnny Herbert'. We were devasted when Heinz Harald went out but still had an amazing night, thanks Johnny!!

Is it just me or does Martin's commentary from older races sounds higher pitched than it is?

There's a video to put a smile on your face. Certainly did with me even though, as a Jordan fan, that's where Heinz-Harald's title challenge started to derail.

I see Sky Sports are getting their staff to leave glowing comments patting themselves on the back again. How sad.

Johnny as we all know had mashed up feet and never had quite the feel through his feet in F1 that he used to have in the earlier catagories. He said in an interview that for this one race the feel came back.

Damon Hill wrote about him in his autobiography Watching the Wheels; Herbert was destined for greatness prior to his career-threatening injuries in 1988.
