@b&srbck Err there's been tonnes throughout history, even early years of hybrid was reveltionary & is still the most sustianable & powerful source. You do realise Mercedes launched Project One car that's literally built very heavily on F1 tech costing £1m with only 250 to be produced which all sold out years ago....There's been plenty of uses even outside of cars for F1 products

It was never really about the tech, too much By their own reports they got billions in marketing value from tiny investments, They don't even fund the team anymore & Merc F1 is due to turn a profit from now on. They'll sell off to profit & get back monetary returns at the height of success, But the've been in F1 for decades & will stay 1 way or another.

That's the Honda reasons, right? But Mercedes is in a different league so I highly doubt that. Turning away from that $5.4 billion advertising value that cost them $30 mil in 2019 and will cost them nothing this year... that's illogical. They will stay in the sport as works team until it has no value to them any longer.

@Andy Glastonbury honestly Bottas was not performing to level of that car even now. Least amount of money is exactly what plays for Russell =not worse results like Bottas, definitely cheaper It is not down to Bottas they used to have 2 good drivers and won both WDC and Team standings. That's not down to Bottas=LH would win that team standings alone Russell will not sit in that car more untill full time driver. They will not allow Sakhir to repeat.

@SavretićD It's what happens to every driver who dominates for longer than the fans want him to, Vettel got it, Hamilton is getting it now, and in the future providing Russell does well, he'll be getting it too. Plus Hamilton unlike the others is a very divisive figure and has views that the typical F1 fan (Middle-Old aged, White, Male etc.) don't agree with or don't know enough about so they just complain.
