"Start" "Defining moment" What a terrible place this sport is in when the race has been defined within the first three corners.

Yes, the true test was your ability to stay awake whilst watching this “race”. Just remove all sponsor logo’s off the top 3. We never see them, if I was a sponsor I would be starting to question the market penetration of such advertising, it seems pointless to me.

In hindsight, Bottas should have focused on keeping max behind him and accepting stroll will pass.

If Bottas had crashed out in the opening lap of the race by being aggressive, you folks would have rightly said that he is stupid. His problem was a bad start, not aggression on the first lap of the race. If he had a good start, he would have been P2 because there was no way Max would have overtaken him on a narrow Spanish track. His issue of not been able to win a title in that Merc is not lack of aggression. He simply has a juggernaut in the other car. Aggression or not, Lewis is a better driver, and over the course of a season, he cannot win except there are some extra ordinary circumstances like the juggernaut (Lewis) catching corona virus and missing a couple of races. So give Bottas a break. He is trying his best.

Replace Bottas with Stroll next year. Stranger things have happened.

@RJW93 Good point. However, 12 months is an eternity in F1.

The two things we can take away from this is that Bottas is a great driver, but not elite and that people can stop saying Stroll is just some crappy rich kid. He's shown several times now that he's worthy of his spot on the grid.

Bottas is simply not good enough to be world champion, it will never happen while he’s teammates with Hamilton.

Boxing Technique Videos I said that Bottas has had preferential treatment regardless. Because Hamilton has been so good he's needed no help. If he qualifies in pole, he wins. If he starts anywhere else he doesn't lose the race at the first corner. Valtteri has needed the extra help from the team and Lewis has looked after himself. Yet Lewis is still winning the championship. He's in a league of his own. My case was to defend Bottas because when the situation arises where the team is under threat from anyone else, Lewis will be given the best chance by the team. And that's how it should be, seeing as Lewis is the best bet for delivering results.

@JChimos 14747 Every driver in F1 who is in the leading car on the grid will get preferential treatment, whether it's pitstops, strategy calls etc..it's not new!! If a driver wants priority they have to qualify ahead of their team mate or overtake for the lead in the race, it's that simple.

Yes, Lewis is quicker. But you've got to be fair. It's much more mentally challenging to topple someone than it is to remain there. Lewis will get preferential treatment from the team in tight spots simply because he has shown he's a safer bet for delivering results. This year so far, Lewis has not needed any such assistance to win the races. In fact, Mercedes have committed all preferential treatment to Valtteri to rescue his race. When he starts from Pole, he manages the race well. He's able to defend from Lewis effectively. My opinion: I think Valtteri is too at risk from drivers behind him on the grid at the starts. If Mercedes were able to strategise for 1-2 finishes at every GP, they'd put Bottas on pole and Lewis P2. Lewis simply looks after himself whilst Bottas it appears needs a little help from P2.

His quali pace isn’t bad but I think Lewis can put in more consistent laps during the race whilst managing his tires well so Yh unfortunately I don’t think he will
