F1 is way better when there are more than 2 people competing for pole

Despite a deserving pole position I still feel sour about the whole Racing Point situation with Stroll staying on and Perez losing the seat. Does Stroll really deserve that seat? Has he got the temperament to be in the game longterm?

@Matt I agree with you, no denying he has a lot of potential and has had it against him with the attention and fan 'hate'. That said you can't deny he has had his fair share of reckless moments throughout this year (and years previous) which don't put him in a good light. Hope he continues on this path of redemption.

The temperament?? He’s been putting up with ferocious media attention and outrage from fans since he entered the sport. Despite that he had an amazing start to the season, took a podium, was on track for another before getting slammed into a wall through no fault of his own. He then got covid which took him out for two weeks, and had the mental fortitude to get back up and put it on pole today. The confidence it must take to get back in that car after the kind of crash he had at Mugello, go out in the terrible conditions today and be faster than everyone else I think shows he has a lot of potential, and deserves to be in F1 on merit

It's an understandable point. Stroll seems to be able pull these superb moments every now and then, whilst Perez is a consistent driver across both qualifying and the race. I think both drivers would be suitable for the team next year, but with Vettel coming across it's gonna result in a good driver being without a seat.

Hamilton was like this when he was younger, he matured and I think stroll will if he keeps up his good performances.
